You should pay attention to the following special entry formalities
Specific requirements for tourists visiting Easter Island
Required prior to your trip:
- You must complete the "Single Entry Form" (FUI) from 24 hours prior to arrival until boarding time through the website: https://ingresorapanui.interior.gob.cl/.
- You must prove that you have a valid reservation at an accommodation registered with the National Tourism Service (SERNATUR) such as Tauraa Hotel B&B (https://serviciosturisticos.sernatur.cl/19341-hotel-tauraa),
- Your round-trip airline tickets for a maximum of 30 days including arrival and departure days.
- Your passport must be valid (or your National Identity Card if you are a national visitor).
- You must have a current "Pase de Movilidad" (Mobility Pass) through the website: https://mevacuno.gob.cl . Foreign visitors can present the vaccination certificate from their country of origin.
Upon arrival to the island:
- You cannot enter with honey products.
- In addition, all travelers will be subject to health surveillance for 7 days after entering the island.
- All persons may submit to a Covid test between the first and fifth day of arrival.
- If the passenger refuses or has a positive result, a mandatory quarantine must be carried out during the following 7 days.
To visit the Rapa Nui National Park:
- The entrance fee to Rapa Nui National Park must be purchased separately at Ma'u Henua; the entrance fee is individual.
- The ticket lasts for 10 days, from the first time you enter a park site. After 10 days, the ticket will expire. The ticket allows you to visit Orongo and Rano Raraku 1 time only.
- Please note that the ticket can be requested and inspected anywhere in Rapa Nui National Park, so it is recommended to always carry the ticket with you.
- To visit Rapa Nui National Park it is mandatory to be accompanied by a local guide.
Recommended:
- Although it is not mandatory to have a Travel Medical Insurance to enter Chile, it is highly recommended to take out a travel insurance to visit Easter Island, since it is a remote and isolated destination.
- PCR or antigen test to enter Rapa Nui, although it is not mandatory, it is highly advisable to perform a diagnostic test before traveling (48 to 24 hours before boarding the domestic plane to Rapa Nui) to avoid inconveniences upon arrival.
- It is recommended to arrive at the Santiago airport about 3 hours before departure.
